Once a plant is SOLD OUT - I will not be offering it ever again. I personally dig, clean and inspect every order before trimming and packing to ship on to you. I ship only bareroot mature blooming size fans; while I cannot guarantee that they will bloom for you this year (because I can't see how you grow them) I have also created a listing of my personal Daylily Introductions and be sure to view my HOSTA page. Daylilies marked with a "#" are unique historical / collector daylilies and may be hard to find. These have registration dates from 1873-1959! Please note early in the season some of my daylily fans may appear to be on the smaller side. This is due to A) I am in Zone 4b and my plants only sprout in late April or early May so it is still VERY early for them. B) I do not fertilize, pamper or force my plants. They must survive on their own and be tough as nails to grow here. If you do fertilize them - they will not only grow but will THRIVE for you. C) Not all daylilies grow to look like 'corn stalks' no matter where or how they are planted. I find Spiders and some UFO types have smaller fans period. The smaller size early in the season does NOT mean they are weak by any means. These plants always catch up to those grown in warmer climatic zones by around mid June with minimum TLC and flower amazingly as you can see by my photographs. I will email easy planting and growing guidelines, hints and tips specific to daylilies to help you get the best foliage and most blooms possible upon request. TIP: To minimize evaporation, water flowerbeds and lawns early in the morning. To encourage deep root growth, water infrequently but thoroughly. The lawn needs only 2.5 centimeters of water weekly, and rainfall usually provides this. |
